Hello friends. Just a few words from me to all of you who took the time to click to my name. If you read my stories and want to leave me a review, do me a favour and consider two things:
1. English isn´t my first language (that is German) so I know that I might make some mistakes from time to time. And before you say it, I´m very uncomfortable with asking strangers who are just random screennames for me, for their help. So no, I don´t have a beta reader and unless someone wants to offer himself to me, I´ll probably never will. Sorry. But believe me I do my very best.

Nice. No really, well done. The beginning was a little too sappy for my taste but I guess it was supposte to be that way. And although the death scene went a little fast (I would have liked it a little more slowly to really take the drama of it in) I liked the hug of comfort, what I think they both needed in this moment.
For some reason, the pineapple-just-for-Gus-line made me tear up. That was so sweet at the end. And I liked it that he called Lassiter spontaneausly one last time. And the last line ... pure gold.
Again. Really well written. Honest fics like that are the best. Well done.

All right, here we go. Don´t worry just a few constructive critic points. There were some things you let Shawn do and say, that don´t quiet fit him. For example I don´t think that he would know anything about a polititian, especially one from that far away as Maine. It also looks a little over the top to let him read lips so accurately. Feels odd. Other than that he and Gus were believably in character.
btw: liked your references you put in here: Andy McGee and Tabitha. Nice. (if that last one even is a reference and not a regular character from the show; I don´t know Dead Zone that good)

Author's Response: Thank you! :) To me, they all are dead, but Lassiter is just dead emotionally instead of literally. I wanted it to be vague enough that it is open for interpretation.

My first opinion hasn´t changed. I still think its utterly silly. Keep writing :) I did notice that there seems to be a plot (didn´t expect that btw). Though I´m sometimes confused about who is saying what. You tend to write the line and right behind it the reaction of another character. That´s slightly confusing. But so far I could guess.
One more thing. About the many damns in the last chapter. I almost wanted Lassiter to cry: `I´m not talking like that!´ Would have been funny. Never mind. That´s just what popped up in my mind while reading.

Oh, man, girl, you got me so confused. First I thought she bought that role reverse but then I was like: If she had the hots for them she should know who is who and as it turned out, she did. But then why should she think that Juliet is cheating then? She would know that they were just playing. CONFUSION. or also likely: PLOTHOLE. Oh, btw. About the line: You are impossible to resist: *facepalm* As if she would ever say that. The Melanie character is creepy in a good way though. Finish this load of crap.

All right, I guess I need to apologize. I obviously insulted you with my last review and I really didn´t want this. I was trying to kid with what I wrote and failed pathetically. But that seems to happen to me quiet a lot. I should know better by know and just shut up. And that I never gave you any stars didn´t mean I didn´t like your story. Only that I always forget that damn rating. This time I thought of it. See? Never mind. Again. Sorry for the insult. I didn´t mean it. And btw: I really want to read the rest of this story. But not today.
And they both knew it.
What a great goodbye. From both sides. Heartbraking. So much in such a small piece. Just great. I really can´t say any more about this. Well done.
