The guy being crazy and totally believing Shawn to be Lou no matter what Shawn said. And the cigarettes?! Agghhh.


“Huh.” He held the license up, looking from it to Shawn and back again. “Isn’t this your job, Lou? Starting people’s lives over from scratch? I wouldn’t be surprised if Shawn Spencer is either a really old geezer in a retirement home or dead.”


“I object to that.”

This is one of my favorite lines in all of fanfiction lol.

The whole fire scene was so imagery filled! I could feel Shawn's panic about being trapped in there and desperately trying to escape as his lungs filled with smoke and the chains warmed up. And just him spinning and spinning and turning and turning.

And then of course the little Lassie and Shawn scene at the end just pile on all that fluff XD

Author's Response: EEEEEEEEEEE This review made my day. Seriously. I'm so glad you loved it so much. I remember I tried really hard and wanted to be creative, so I'm glad that came through!!

Awww, that was a great one-shot.  Plenty of tension and suspense, nice that Shawn was being tortured and abuse because of a simple case of mistaken identity - sweet plot twist there - and burning cigarettes, too.  I think that is the first fic I've read where that's the means of whump!  KUDOS for originality!   And LASSIE to the rescue!  WOOOT!

 Thanks for writing this, it was a fun read.
