Just found this site a few months ago after getting hooked on Psych. I had watched a few episodes, but not until the mini-marathons on ion Television did I get obsessed with the show. My favorite part of the show, what actually got me to take notice, was the complexity of Shawn's relationship with his dad, Henry. In fact, it was "Shawn Takes A Shot In the Dark" that sold me on the show and drove me to want more and to look for fics. There are sooooo many good stories here, it's fic heaven.
High School is hell for anyone but between police training, friendship woes, and family problems, Shawn Spencer has more to deal with than the average teen. How much can one eccentric prodigy take?

My favorite thing about your writing is how you work in characters/events from the show. Howie Tolkin in this chapter, Captain Connors in other chapters/stories. It's such a thrill to read these little "shout outs" or nods to the show.
Author's Response: I love doing stuff like that because it ties everything into the world of Psych if you get my drift. It is fun to play around with ALL the characters, not just the main ones.

Very good job on what has to be one of the more complicated parts of Psych "history". I've always loved that scene with his Mom in "Ghosts", but admit it's a bit confusing. (My love for the scene probably has more to do with the acting/directing/music than the words being spoken.) Thank you for making it make more sense.
I feel I should know who is coming in the next chapter, but not really sure.

Thanks! It took a long time to plan out how it was going to work. There are so many discrepancies it is hard to connect them or ignore the smaller ones.
As for who is coming in the next chapter I guess I made my hint to obscure. Sorry about that. I'll do better next time. I don't use hints Lightly. ;)

Wow, that was some fight and a great ending to this story.
Would love to know if you decide to write the sequel, but can understand if you don't. It would be a very daunting task.
Author's Response: I will let ya know. I just have so many ideas and want to get them written. Thank you for being the reason I started the series in the first place with your awesome challenge.
Shawn and Lassie end up in a bad situation, made worse by the fact that Lassie's pride got in the way of listening to reason, or a psychic vision. Now they'll need to work together to get out. Easier said than done with Lassie's guilty conscience.
