I tried to make the following scenes as coherent as possible, but I still fear that horrible evil, Implausibility. But seriously, I'm writing about fake psychics, leprechauns, and a klutzy girl who just so happens to get herself romantically involved with the head detective. If you haven't cranked up your Willing Suspension of Disbelief as high as it will go, this story train probably isn't for you! :-D

I would just like to say that the disclaimer that Rebecca gives Lassiter about her uncle applies to you readers as well. Her uncle is based on my real-life uncle, so I wrote what my uncle would actually say. I know that some of what my uncle would say is disparaging at best and that some of it is downright untrue, but just remember that I'm writing a character, not a self-insert. I don't think anyone would be offended by this chapter, but there is a remark about politics, and I know how up-in-arms people can get about that sort of thing, so I wanted to cover all of my bases just in case. But I think you all are an open-minded group of people who'll think I'm crazy for worrying, so... Just enjoy reading, okay? And remember that Lassiter once punched Shawn for saying Reagan was a bad president. :-D
