Just gonna point out a couple of my favorite parts...

1) "Chief, I have to stop this crazy--- I have over 300 days of unused sick leave, and I will use them!" Lassiter protested.
"How is that even possible?" Rebecca asked.
"A combination of willpower, conditioning, and the proud Lassiter genes," Lassiter replied.

Seriously, laughing my butt off. I can just hear him saying it!

2) "Be that as it may, the extradition was my work and I did it. The escape was not my division!"

Again! I can hear it so clearly in my head!

To Tokyo they go! Interesting... nice twist, since I was expecting the whole thing to take place in Santa Barbara.

(I'm also really bad about not doing that when I write reviews, which I am sorry for.) I'm really glad you liked those, because I certainly enjoyed writing them! I also really worry that I don't keep Lassiter in character sometimes, since I do use him so much and throw him into so many situations, so thanks for boosting my confidence. The Tokyo part is actually a way of fulfilling a challenge that I found on here. I came across it and knew I could make it fit, and I think it'll work out well in the story. At least, I hope it will.
