"One week?" Gus exploded. "There is no way I'm gonna last one week! What about work? What about home? What about my cat?""You don't have a cat, Gus.""Well, I'm getting one!"

"It's a dead body!"

"Nope, only me!"   "Really, Gus? You were so just gonna give me up like that? I totally saved you last week and being fed to a potential zombie is the thanks I get?"  "Oh, right, yes, of course." Shawn brought his hand to his head with a flourish, closing his eyes. "Oh, he's doing it!" “Someone here knows what happened!” A collective gasp went through the car, then everyone began talking at once. “Pat did it!” "Sorry for the inconvenience," the announcer/conducter dude said over the intercom. "Somebody who says she's Lost in Translation's roomie found the kitchen area... something about shinehs. Say sorry, Deej.""Sorry,"  "Uh... where'd the body go?"   “No they don’t Shawn. They stalk us and make up what the WANT to happen. There’s a big difference.”

“I’ve heard it both ways.”   “Angst?” Shawn said.

“Yeah, you know, tear-jerkers, tug on the heart strings, make people yell out “Just be together already!’ type stuff.”  “You people are insane. What’s all this about … shinehs?”  “Where?!”   “Whoa. First a body disappears and now your pad does, too?” Deej scrunched her freckled face in thought. “What do you think, Shawn?”  “I think …” He put a hand to his head in thought. “I think I smell pineapple upside down cake.”   "Gus is a table," iknow declared excitedly.Gus screamed. "Why is there a dead person on me?""Shh," admonished iknow, "Tables don't talk!"  "You do know that everyone here knows you're not actually psychic, right?"Shawn scowled at her. "Force of habit." He closed his eyes again. "I'm seeing... I'm seeing Adam! And, Star! I'm seeing...""Nothing," Lost snickered. "Your eyes are closed."  "Psychficcers?""Will you stop repeating everything I say?"  "What's wrong with her?" Shawn questioned in a whisper."Where did her skates go?" Gus asked."Why did the flower I drew become real?"  "Why can't I go look for the pad while you interview Lost?" AJ raised an eyebrow."You would rather go through this train and talk to every one of the squeeing fangirls dying to see you bleed?"   "iknow, can you stololololololo- STOP!"   "No, the scariest would be the Supernatural convention.""Super..." "You got dragged into something physically impossible," Lost said, her eyebrow raised. "I'd be freaking out, too.""But you're not," he pointed out.She rolled her eyes and shrugged. "I'm a teenager. You see weird things." "I just realized something. If this guy knows how to bring people to life, what's to stop him from creating the biggest, baddest, evilest, most powerful super villain ever?"Gus shrugged. "Lack of creativity?" "That's a happy scream," she said. "So either Shawn's been kidnapped and they're getting live feed, or Juliet just came on the train. For real this time."  "I'm Lost in Translation.""Oh. Sorry to hear that." "I thought that you considered yourself a crazzie, too?""Yes, that was before someone killed Star and started gunning for one of my best friends here. If I were still being crazy, you would currently be at a "party" in The Chamber.""The Chamber?" Shawn asked. "What's that?" AJ grinned, a devious glint in her eyes. "Trust me, you don't want to know."   “I have a plan.”  Rolling his eyes, Gus spoke up. “Does it involve me not having a gun – or a knife – pointed in my general direction?”

“Who’s the psychic here?” Shawn took in the others’ looks. “Oh. Right. Who’s the detective here? You or me?”

"You're not worried about the fact that we've been kidnapped by a psycho who can create characters from a notebook?"Lost licked her dry lips. "Does it seem that way? Because I've never been so terrified in my life.""Oh." "I can't believe Shawn's getting whumped and we're not even seeing it!""I can hear you, you know,"  "Oh, that doesn’t look good,” Spence breathed, eyes wide. Lost gagged. "It looks really painful, that's what it looks like." "I knew you weren't dead!" She said happily, tears streaming down her face. "I knew it! I can't believe you're okay!""Yeah, Deej," she choked out. "I'm fine. But my ribs won't be if you keep trying to crush them." "What kind of normal human being pretends to be a psychic?" "Since when has Shawn ever professed to be normal?" "Yeah, if anything, his claim is that he's different, special, gifted..." AJ ticked off the qualities one by one."Hot," someone else whispered. "Come on, Bob," Shawn wheedled from his place on the floor. "Can I call you Bob? You look like a Bob to me.""He looks more like a Gary to me,"   "Just leave the authors out of it, okay? Most of them are just kids. I assume that there's something in you that's morally opposed to killing kids, right?""He did kill Star and Jordan," Spence pointed out. "And he seems pretty ready to kill us, too," AJ agreed "There's a difference," Deej cut in, glaring. "We kick the pants off of our characters, but we never kill them."  "There's a bomb on the train. Does anyone know how to unarm a bomb?""Cut the red wire?" Lost joked. All three girls shot her annoyed looks over their shoulder. "Sorry, bad joke."  “Well … at least he gave us half an hour. That gives us more time than the cliché five minutes,”  "We're on a train, moving 60 mph. Just throw it off."  "I haz an idea," she said excitedly.Gus' eyebrows rose, and Lost shook her head. "She talks like that, get used to it," "Oh yea... funny story. I kinda fell asleep and-"  Deej and Lost traded glances. "I can't believe it's only been a day." Deej said happily.

"I know," Lost agreed. "Shawn whump, me dying, our first bad guy... Wonder what the next week'll be like?"

And that's a wrap!

Fave quotes:

"Really, Gus? You were so just gonna give me up like that? I totally saved you last week and being fed to a potential zombie is the thanks I get?"

"We do what we do! First we need Jules back." He looked at iknow expectantly.

"You are unbelievable. We are literally  on the crazy train!"

"That's where all the crazzies live. But as long as I give them pineapples, they stay pretty happy.

AJJ quietly bounced on the balls of her feet, shooting glances at the pad that iknow had been scribbling as if imagining what she could bring to life with the "magic" pad.

“Yeah. We have TV marathons and superglue fights and all kinds of fun stuff.”

"Sorry for the inconvenience," the announcer/conducter dude said over the intercom. "Somebody who says she's Lost in
Translation's roomie found the kitchen area... something about shinehs. Say sorry, Deej."

“I think …” He put a hand to his head in thought. “I think I smell pineapple upside down cake.”

"It's not a game anymore." She looked over at iknow, still skating. "Well, it might be for her. But not me, not anymore."

"Lassie's got a brother? Oh, this is rich..."

He came to stand beside his friend, his face clearly showing his disgust with being used as an autopsy table.

"For the most part," Lost added, peeling away iknow's crushing fingers. She patted her on the head. "Alright, iknow, be a good girl and get us some of that pineapple cake in the kitchen."

He glanced around until his gaze settled on iknow in the corner. She giggled and waved a blue pad at him.
"I knew that you were going to say that!" she grinned.

"What kind of normal human being pretends to be a psychic?"

"We wanted to know why you're doing this, not your life story," Lost interrupted snidely.

“How’d you get here?” Deej asked, cocking her head. “I was about to write you onto this train.”
iknow waved.

iknow stepped up, holding out her notebook. "I haz an idea," she said excitedly.
Gus' eyebrows rose, and Lost shook her head. "She talks like that, get used to it," she said. "Whatcha got?"

"Pfff good luck! I'm unhurtable! And I speak from experience. I'm kinda clumsy..."
As if on cue, when she stepped forward, she tripped over Lost's foot and fell onto Bob.
