“Gus! You’ll never believe what I found,” Shawn exclaimed as soon as his friend entered their office.
“What is it, Shawn? I’m really not in the mood for one of those silly online games. I have more important stuff to do.”
“No, seriously.” Shawn looked up from his computer screen. “It’s creepy; that’s what it is.”
Gus sighed. “Fine, what is it?”
“Okay, so I was bored and decided to do an online search for Psych – you know, just to see what people are saying about us.”
“And?”
“And I found this!”
Gus walked around to stand behind Shawn so he could see the monitor. “Wow.”
“I know! How cool is that?”
Gus stared at the open internet browser. At the top was a drawing of him, Shawn, Lassiter, Juliet, Henry, Chief Vick, and Buzz McNabb. Below the picture were different menu options: authors, titles, and many more.
“I do not look like that.”
“Dude, it’s so totally us! And look! This site is full of stories people made up about us.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. I’ve been reading these for hours, and there’s still tons out there. I love the ‘Shules’ category. It’s awesome.”
“‘Shules?’”
“Yeah. It’s a name somebody made up as a combo of ‘Shawn’ and ‘Jules.’ It rocks.”
Gus rolled his eyes.
“And it seems some people like beating me up.”
“What?”
“It’s this whole popular category called ‘whump.’”
“Uh huh. Look, Shawn; as interesting as this may be, I need to go. I’ve got errands to run.”
“Fine, don’t worry about me, Gus. I’ve got enough entertainment to last me a week.”
Gus just sighed and left, leaving Shawn to his newfound fun.
