Great story once again. Nice to see some Lassie whump for a change. And I loved Lassiter's realization of why everyone was there, that he really did have friends.

This is seriously my favorite story of all time. Of all fanfics, or ANY other stories...this is purely AMAZING! I stayed up so late reading this, I could barely keep my eyes open with how tired I was!! Haha your stories are perfect. Go Lassie!!!

Oh wow!

This fic was beyond perfect! It had just the right elements from all the genres. I can totally classify this as a multi-layered story even with the whumpathon tag! I actually enjoyed the recovery process a lot more than the actual whumping (although I certainly can't get the image of the gang getting into a bar fight out of my head, hehe. That was very well done!).

If possible, my heart went out to Lassiter in this last chapter than it did the other ones. Friends! Lassie has friends! Everytime I think about that, that scene from season 1 where Shawn throws Lassiter the fortune cookie comes to mind.

I just love all the chemistry this ragtag gang has between them, and you portrayed it beautifully! Especially the scenes with Lassie and Juliet's partnership. Also the humor Shawn and Gus brought to the table just made this story so much like a Psych episode, I actually think the writers should get some pointers from you!

Awesome job! I very much look forward to your next fic!

Loved it! What I love so much about your stories is that you use the whump as a catalyst for introspection. Sure Lassiter got whumped something fierce (seriously, this should be part of a safety training pamphlet for LEO's or something, lol!), but what mattered was what he got out of it. Well, knowing me, of course I'd be drawn to that, but it's still great. I know how big a Lassiter fan you are (ok, plainly fanatic), but you're not afraid to whump him, or whump him in highly embarrassing ways, or put a fluffy pink sleep mask on him, or boldly highlight his imperfections. You do that because you know the greatness he has deep down, and how something like this can make him an even better person. It's awesome seeing how our heroes learn and grow, and you do it beautifully.

The connection between Gus and Lassiter has always been overlooked, so thank you for bringing that forward. They both have a certain "geekiness" to them, in a way, and it makes sense that they'd have that as a common point. Very few people have capitalized on that. Points for originality!

What really hit a note for me was your writing of how Shawn shows Lassiter a side of himself that he won't even show Juliet! Who would have ever thought this is possible! But then again, it makes perfect sense...in a very Psych sort of way. The idea of Shawn trusting Lassiter like this is awesome to me.

Great job yet again. I love your take on our awesome characters, and can't wait to read what you've got coming.

Wow!!! Do u know how long I have been waiting for u 2 update. Every single day I will check Psychfic 2 check if u have updated. U made me so happy when I can finally read yr story. l LOVE all yr stories. Lassider is also my favourite. I tink Tim O is so HOT!!! I love the way u write abt him & Juliet cause there is not enough shown on the show abt these two great friendship. It is so frustrating cause i keep waiting for Psych to potray them as u have written in yr stories.

I wish u were one of the writers than u can give justice to Lassider and write him the way I would love to see him. I also have been following u on twitter but dont have a account yet. Im also so jelous that u were able to meet wif Tim and even have yr pic & video taken wif him cause im not from USA so it will be impossible for me to actually meet him.

Pls keep up the gd work!!! U r one of my fav writers. Psychfic needs more writer like u. U rock!!!!!

Thanks!  Glad you liked it!  Always nice to hear from someone who enjoys my stories, it makes me all warm and fuzzy.  I'll be writing a little one-shot here pretty soon about how Lassie's red Crown Vic met its end.  I think you'll like it, too.

Thanks again for the feedback, I appreciate it!

I loved this fic!

The whump was simple, but at the same time brutal. Loved it when Lassiter punched the hell out of the guy who surprised Juliet and grabbed her...he so would! One thing I love in your stories is how you write Lassie/Jules as friends and how well they know each other. I am sold.

Even more than the whump, I think I liked the three of them working to help Lassiter in his recovery and him seriously being confused at having friends other than Juliet. Those scenes were very sweet and for lack of a better word...adorable.

I think my only complaint is that Shawn getting them to the bar just came off to me as too obvious of a set-up for the rest of the story-it didn't flow nearly as well as the rest. In the grand scheme though, minor issue.

Also, thanks to you, I am now having visions of Lassiter squeezing into a hot pink tutu with fairy wings. My brain is not sure whether to thank you or curse you. But it's amused. =)

Definitely loved this story, can't wait for your next one. There's not nearly enough fic that focuses on the friendships with these four. Something I for one prefer to romance.

HOWDY!  Thank you so mych for taking the time to leave a rating/review!  I'm glad you finally got to read the story, and even more stoked that you liked it so much.  Yep, I beat the crap out of poor Lassie.  I tend to do that - when I whump someone they get it good!  I would also loke to thank you for your honest opinion and constructive criticism.  I value honesty in feedback, as it only makes my writing stronger in the long run.  That's why I'm so annoyingly persistent in pestering certain folks for feedback and opinions while I'm writing each chapter.  It helps me spot errors, and allows me to add things I may not have seen on my own.

Thanks again for the review!  I think you'll love my upcoming one-shot about how the red Crown Vic met its end.  Lots of action!

Great story. Poor Lassie. I love how Juliet was doing her best to help him, and Shawn with all his helpfulness. :D

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review!  Yep, poor Lassie.  I whumped the hell outta him this time.  Who knew a shoelace could do SO much damage?  What can I say, I'm evil.  Glad you like it so far, about to post the 4th and final chapter.  Enjoy!

Aww man! Our poor dear Head Detective! I gotta give you credit, only you can write an entire chapter with a guy in bed. Actually, you DID write 8 chapters with 2 guys in the same room...so I shouldn't be surprised ;) And you wrote it out masterfully and meticulously, not leaving out a single painful detail. This was awesome! You not only described what Lassie was going through, you made the reader feel it too! His pain and discomfort was so palpable, and in the end, so was his relief. That was amazing work on your part.

Something else I really enjoyed was how much of the chapter was from Lassie's point of view while he couldn't see anything. It really gave a very unique dimension to the story. Hearing the voices of the other characters, feeling the matress moving up and down as different people sit next to Lassie- it was really cool to read.

Finally, I have to give you major props for your characterization of Shawn. Knowing you as a firm Lassiter fan, you still *always* pay just as much attention to him and make sure you get him exactly right just the same. You also still make sure to include Shawn as a very important part of the story as opposed to just a background character. It's easy to write him as the goof off joker that he is, but taking the time to write him as caring, concerned, and helpful- that's going above and beyond.

Great work! I wanna read MOAR!

Author's Response:

THANK YOU so much for your review!  You are my favorite reader Peazy! Yep, poor Lassie got nailed something fierce this time.  I whumped Shawn all over the place on Stir Crazy, thought it was time to "spread the love" and let Lassie get a taste.  And poor guy, headaches and throwing up are wicked ways to feel ill.  I HATE that, I just can't stand being nauseous with a bad headache at the same time.  That's just about the worst kind of sick, puking while feeling like your head's gonna split in half.  So when one does get some relief, it is blessed and welcome indeed.  I tried really hard to capture both elements in this chapter, I hope I succeeded.

Thanks for the review!  I really appreciate it!  Glad you enjoyed it!

Wow that first sequence is just painful.  Poor Lassie and his poor stomach!  :(  I kinda love, though, how when he's getting sick in his bathroom he just suddenly becomes aware of Juliet standing there holding his shoulders. He hadn't heard her come in or didn't even know she was there but she is, like a good partner should be. :)  It a little scary how disoriented he is and that he can barely remember that he was even in the hospital. I like where he notices Juliet's stitches and has anger in his voice, as if he could be in any shape to do something about it right then. :D

The second round of vomiting is even more painful. Ugh! And he ends up passing out even. Remind me to never get a skull fracture... =P  The pink sleep mask is funny, and of course Shawn would get past Juliet! She can't resist him you know *wink wink*.  LOL  Still, it's a good thing for Lassie that Shawn comes to the rescue.  It's also funny how Juliet says she won't do a massage when she does such a good job of it later in the chapter. It does have to be a bit weird to give your boss a massage though. =O

The soup scene is funny with the bib and then she ends up having to feed him. At least he finally gets to take his medicine. I can understand his frustration when the medicine doesn't kick in right away...I haven't had a skull fracture but there have been times I've taken a pill and then watched the clock waiting for it to take effect.  Sucks!  Of course being in pain makes the pain worse because you tense up and are constantly bracing yourself against more pain which actually just makes it all worse...hence...the massage!  Great scene! You do a great job of bringing out the idea of how it's an awkward situation in so many ways but it's necessary and then when the pain starts going away it's such a relief for Lassie. I kind of felt all of those things reading it...a little awkward but so happy that he was finally getting relief. :)

Thanks for another great chapter!  :)
