Kladinski's little Radio Shack gadget had blocked Juliet's phone's signal; it took some fiddling and finally smashing the box with the butt of her pistol to properly call for back-up and an ambulance.

Yeah, this story pretty much rocks.
The ficcer in me that hates char-death would argue that it could have been done without that part, but the other, more intelligent, non-fangirl side of me thinks it probably couldn't have been. So I like it. I do.

Thank you~!! The scene with Lassie was one of my own favorites, I spent the whole story waiting for it, so...
And yeah...I don't think this story could've been done without the char death, as it's the whole point, what would happen to Shawn After...but I feel a bit guilty actually writing it. I owe everyone something lighter! (Gus is saying it's time to torture Shawn, while *he* gets to point and laugh. Or more likely worry his little head off, but...)

This is a very cool fic. It's interesting to see Shawn without his "safety net" - it reminds me of Future!Hiro on Heroes. Juliet's and Lassiter's reactions are also interesting to read.

It didn't occure to me that Shawn actually cracked the case of who set the bomb, but it makes so much sense. And is really....sad. Great work.
