Writer's Commentary
We have a new category here at Psychfic, and it is also a new feature of the site. The idea was proposed by mia, and we have decided to give it a go.
The Writer's Commentary section is like the special features to your Psych fanfiction. You can write a commentary for your story, talk about your thought process and what inspired it, why you made a plot twist, etc.

Site Server Move POST-PONED
The server move scheduled for today will be post-poned to a later date. I'm having second thoughts about the hosting I was planning on switching to, and want to further research my options.
I'll keep you all posted and will let you know ahead of time when the move will take place.

SITE SERVER MOVE
UPDATE: SERVER MOVE HAS BEEN POST-PONED. See newest News item for more info.
Psychfic will be transferring to a new server as my current host has changed some of their restrictions in their hosting. The move is scheduled to begin Wednesday, the 2nd of September. At that time the site and forum will be in maintenance until the move is complete. This may take a few days.
I apologize for the inconvenience this creates, but it will benefit the site when it is all said...

Archive Script Update to begin Monday
The site will be in Maintenance mode starting Monday to perform the script upgrade. If I'm lucky, the site will be back up within 24 hours. If I'm not, it could take a couple days.
As I said before, only the archive will be down. The Community forum will still be up, so you can still get your Psychfic fix in a way. :)

Updates/Additions Coming Soon!
The updates and additions to Psychfic are coming soon! One of the first things will be an upgrade of the eFiction script that the archive runs on. When this takes place, the site will be in Maintenance mode for a couple days. I will post a notice ahead of time to let you all know, and the Community forum will still be up. A link will be present on the Maintenance page for the Community.

Dedicated IP Address
Psychfic.com has been upgraded to a dedicated IP, leaving the shared IP behind to make Psychfic an even more reliable site for your surfing pleasure. This is the first step toward those big upgrades and additions I mentioned in my last News posting.
PLEASE NOTE: The upgrade will take 4-24 hours to propagate throughout the internet. This means that the site may be unavailable for a short time. Please do not panic and keep checking back as the site will be back up within 24 hours...

Okay, I've added the following characters to the archive's character list: Maddie Spencer, Abigail Lytar, Jack Spencer, Winnie Guster, Joy Guster, Bill Guster, Adam Hornstock, and Victoria Parker. Now, don't go overboard in selecting characters for your stories. Don't end up having 10 characters cited in your details. Only select the primary characters; characters that play a major role in your story.
